this was my first podcast i listened to by the rich cleaner. Absolutely blown away by the simple ideas and concepts of this promotion. I hAVE HEARD JOE SPEAK OF THIS BEFOREIN A NIGHTINGALE CONANT PROGRAM, SO THE INFORMATION WASN’T NEW, BUT THE DETAIL REVEALED IS THE PREFECT AMOUNT OF EXACT DIRECT WITH ENOUGH LEEWAY TO USE SOME OF OUR OUR CREATIVITY. I WOULD BE MORE INTEREST IN THE WORDING OF THEIR CLIENT COUPON.

THANKS AND I TOTALLY LOOK FOWARD TO HEARING THE REST OF THESE PROGRAMS

  • Randy bockrath says:

Gives me another angle to use the free cleaning!

  • Brent says:

Timely and encouraging. We just talked about reinvigorating this offer in our business.

  • Wow, now that was a fantastic on purpose podcast. If that method can work for them, then cleaning one room free will work for me too. I plan on getting started too. I also enjoyed hear about the partnership with the dry cleaner. Can’t wait to start that as well

  • Larry Eigler says:

    Great info, thanx to everyone.

  • What a fantastic on purpose podcast. I’m going to take action and do the same thing. If they can do it. I can 2. it’s a win-win. it gives a whole new meaning to, it’s better to give then receive. when we chose to give something for free, it creates magic.

    Thanks for the wisdom.

    God bless

  • Super Doug says:

Thanks so much for the info. i have been having difficulty getting people to reply to the free room offer. We have put out several hundred offers and only had a few return.do you have advice for that? i am going to look into more strategic partners to do my marketing. would love a copy of their letter that the dry cleaner gives out.

    • Joel Cohen says:

Make sure your Free Room offer is believable. Believability is 1/3 of the reason a person responds (the other two contributing factors are: they need it, and they can afford it, which the offer itself covers well). So use testimonials, or reference online reviews, particularly reviews that where the customer shares that they used the free room and what a wonderful experience it is. If possible, add pictures of the clients giving the reviews. Include as many of these reviews as possible since having them makes your piece infinitely more believable.

  • Tim Copsey says:

    Amazing episode!!!

I listened to it for the second time today and today me and Ken decided to scale up our 3-step flyer campaign by 3 times. We are doing (2) 3-step flyer campaigns overlapping each other and we are going from 1000 to 3000 homes in our target market for each campaign totaling 6000 homes under a 3 month period 3 sequenced times totaling 18,000 flyers. We are focusing on the Free Room of carpet cleaning coupled with a 15-20 minute carpet audit no strings attached! Ken has the script that was discussed on this episode.

when a prospect calls we will set it up so they can be present to experience the audit along with the free room, and see the awesome value in trying our company out for the first time and opportunities and benefits for continuing to use us in the future.

    Again awesome podcast:)

  • Norman hall says:

  • Darko M. says:

The best podcast!!! I love to way you work with real estate agents and the unique way to print the “Free room of cleaning” for them.

I see know that this is really the key to big success in this business, to give a free room of cleaning.

Thank you guys for this great podcast. god bles you all!

  • Craig Macher says:

Great episode guys I’m re learning about the free room of cleaning since I’m not seeing the traction yet that i really need.

Looking forward to more great episodes!

  • Terrific podcast. I had heard of these marketing techniques in the past but now with fellow canadians len and annette describing how well it works, I will definitely start approaching dry cleaners and real estate agents for some complimentary marketing of my own!

  • Steve says:

Thank you Joel for a great interview. So much Great information, i have Tried the free room offer but didnt get much success, however i didnt try it with a third party. Perhaps i should invest in the system!!
    Steve

P.s keep up the good work

  • Michael naskrent says:

Joel, the Free room offer that len and marchionda have been implementing is pretty exciting. Over the past year i’ve touched on it with potential commercial clients. i’ve been a little HESITANT with residential for 2 reasons. 1, the time taken out of the day to do the free room audit…. and in the past the client only wanting the one room done. i feel we approached them incorrectly out of the gate thou. i’m part of the elite group so i would like to venture out more. Great material on this podcast!!

  • antaiwn says:

I like the way they do the free room carpet audit first and come back and do the carpet. I personally took their advice and had more success this time then I did in the past . thanks a lot for sharing that

  • Mary Ellen says:

I idenTIFY WITH THE HUSBAND/WIFE TEAM. wE DO PRIMARILY COMMERCIAL CARPET CLEANING BUT HAVE HAD RESIDENTIAL CARPET CLEANING AS OUR PRIMARY MARKET a times OVER THE PAST 30 YEARS. I learned that with the right target market (via the cleaner/flooring retailer, etc) i can grow the residential arm of my business. the offer and the phone script are key. i get stuck on the design part of creating flyers so any support information would be helpful. Also, i would like to know of any spins on this for commercial accounts, particularly janitorial companies, hotels, and commercial buildings.

  • Max Z says:

Awesom podcast! Thank you for grEat, exciting ideas. DefenetlY worTh to give it a try as people always love free stuff , it is in human nature and it means that such approach will guarantee customers respond.

  • Rob Coats says:

Wow… VERY INSPIRING! GREAT INTERVIEW! I HAD NO IDEA A SUCCESSFUL CARPET CLEANING BUSINESS COULD BE POSSIBLE, BUT THIS EPISODE HAS CONVINCED ME THAT I DON’T HAVE TO BE STUCK IN THE “LESS THAN $50000 STARVING CLEANER CLUB”.

NOW i HAVE TO TRY THE FREE ROOM OFFER… AND ORGANIZE MY CARPET AUDIT BETTER.

  • Richard harris says:

    Great interview!

I’m literally just starting out and i plan to use the “free room” marketing strategy. ThaNks a lot!

  • Just finished listening to this podcast. So excited to implement the free room strategy. I’m a little OCD and feel a little incomplete because you never came back to the 5th step in their process, the revive old clients step. 🙂 I know its been a few years since this aired but I was wondering if the copy of their certificate was still available?
